SOLD OUT! Comedy wants you to
Your Stuff + Our Snark = Cha ching!
The usual way, wherever you sell (eBay for now, more coming). Your listing, your price, your shipping. We never touch the item or the money.
Paste it below, or email it to [email protected] if forms give you hives.
The funny ones go in the Prop Shop with a roast of our own. If someone buys it through our link, the marketplace pays us a small commission. It costs you nothing, and you keep your whole sale.
Whatever makes the cut, you'll get an email when it's roasted and in the Prop Shop. Whatever doesn't, no hard feelings, and no email either.
We don't post everything. We pick what's funniest, and we roast with love (mostly). The sale happens on the marketplace, between you and your buyer, under its rules. What we keep and why is on our privacy page.
Same as always. We need the listing to send buyers to.
On Instagram or Facebook. Make it look good, or make it look terrible. Either way, we can work with it.
Tag @soldout.comedy in the photo (on Facebook, tag SOLD OUT! Comedy). In the caption, put #RoastMyProp and your eBay link. Instagram won't make the link clickable. Paste it anyway; we'll copy it.
That's it. We'll find it, roast it, and put it in the Prop Shop. Tagging us is the part that counts: it's how we see your post. Posting it is you saying we may roast it.
Our Stage & Screen shows have a live studio audience, and your stuff can be part of it. The Sell Outs turn it into a prop in an improv scene while the room and the online audience bid on it. That dusty juicer might become a jetpack. Your old exercise bike? Time machine fuel. It's consignment theater: we provide the audience and the entertainment, you provide the props.
Put it in an unsealed, mail-ready box, like you're actually going to ship it. Because we will, if it sells. Don't tape it up yet.
Buy a ticket (bringing a prop doesn't get you in free), then check in with our appraiser (the person who checks your item in) up to an hour before showtime.
You set your net price: what you take home. We set the listing price higher to cover taxes, fees, shipping and handling.
You never know when or if your prop will pop up in a scene. If it doesn't, it's auctioned in the Lightning Round (a speed auction at the end of the show). Help sell it on stage, or watch from your seat.
We ship it to the buyer, and you get your net price by Venmo within 3 days of it shipping. If it goes for more, HEY LOOK, A SQUIRREL! (Anything above your net price is ours.)
It gets the dramatic send-off it deserves, then you take it home after the show.
No! Some of the dullest items make the funniest props. Besides, who knows what's going to be funny?
As many as you can carry. More props, more chaos, more laughs. They may not all make it on stage.
